Chronic pain refers to pain that persists for weeks, months, or even years—often long after the original injury or trigger has healed. It can involve the muscles, joints, nerves, or connective tissues and is frequently influenced by the nervous system’s heightened sensitivity or protective responses.
Chronic pain is complex. It can develop from unresolved injuries, repetitive strain, inflammation, postural imbalance, stress, trauma, or dysregulation in the brain and body’s communication pathways. Over time, the body may become “stuck” in patterns of tension, guarding, or overactivation, making even simple movements feel difficult or uncomfortable.
Because chronic pain affects both physical and emotional well-being, a whole-body, nervous-system–centered approach often provides the most meaningful relief.
At Center for Wellness, we recognize that chronic pain is rarely caused by just one factor. Our approach focuses on calming the nervous system, improving alignment and mobility, reducing tension patterns, and empowering patients with strategies that support long-term healing—not just temporary relief.
